ALO.ai

Founding Partner, past Board member 2020 - present

ALO is the next-generation operating system for public facilities (initially stadiums, arenas, zoos, and university campuses). Built on a foundation of an NLP Walkie-Talkie that does group chat/push-to-talk/live video, ALO is the system of record that is used for all communication, incident and request management, and operational analytics. By using data and machine learning to record all issues and automate workflows, ALO enhances the guest experience, facility safety, and staff productivity while saving headcount costs. ALO is used by major organizations such as the San Francisco 49ers, Oakland A's, Worcester Red Sox, San Antonio Zoo, University of Cincinnati, and Columbia University.

Patron Technology/PatronManager

Co-founder/CEO 2001-2019

Patron Technology initially provides cutting edge digital back office technology for arts and cultural organizations. The company’s initial product. PatronMail, was first to introduce e-mail marketing to the arts industry and grew to over 1,800 customers in the US, UK and Australia. In 2017 the company launched PatronManager, an all-in-one ticketing, fundraising marketing CRM platform built on the Salesforce platform and in partnership with Salesforce.org. We powered over $500M e-commerce transactions per year for 700+ theater, orchestra, opera, museum and performing arts centers in the US and UK.


The company was acquired in 2019 by Providence Equity and its mission broadened to include other kinds of ticketing and live entertainment technology systems in the US, Canada and Australia. Post acquisition, served as CEO and in other C-suite roles.

CultureFinder.com

Founder/CEO 1997 - 2001

CultureFinder.com was a groundbreaking website for arts & culture at the dawn of the consumer web. The company was initially funded by America Online (AOL) after winning a national competition and then investments by Comcast Interactive Capital.

CultureFinder created a nationwide cultural events calendar combined with an online ticketing system. CultureFinder was a trailblazer in online ticketing and was the first to sell live event tickets on AOL.

CultureFinder.com also pioneered online advertising with sponsorships from companies such as Baldwin Piano and Lexus. The company was the primary arts content provider on the AOL service from 1998-2000 - managing chat rooms, message boards and live “chat” based interviews with celebrity artists and performers.

American Symphony Orchestra

Executive Director 1991-1995

The American Symphony Orchestra is a New York-based American orchestra founded in 1962 by Leopold Stokowski whose mission is to demystify orchestral music and make it accessible and affordable for all audiences.

Leon Botstein is the currently orchestra's music director and principal conductor, a role he took on in 1991.

The Concordia Orchestra

Executive Director 1995-1997

Concordia was a New York City based orchestra founded by trailblazing conductor Marin Alsop. The orchestra performed an annual series at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center as well as a robust children’s education program in New York city. The orchestra programmed a wide range of American composers including a very popular annual gospel version of the Messiah, “Too Hot to Handel.” A CD, “Victory Stride” the music of James P. Johnson, was recorded during this time.

American Symphony Orchestra

Orchestra Manager 1983-1985

Responsible for managing a twelve-concert series at Carnegie Hall, the orchestra’s participation in the Annual PBS/Gala of Stars, recordings and contracted events at Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden, and commercial contracts for Coca-Cola.
